My name is Marshall Tidrick, and I'm a photographer.
I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in French. While in school, I worked at The Daily Texan, UT's student newspaper, as a staff photographer and senior photographer. I also served as an intern at KUT/KUTX, Austin's NPR affiliate station. Through these opportunities and through my own freelancing, my work has been published in the Washington Post, CNN, Cosmopolitan, Women's Health, Texas Monthly, the Austin-American Statesman, ABC News, The Guardian, Mashable, Huffington Post, among other reputable news publications.
More recently, I worked with a few colleagues to start a production company based out of Austin, Swng Productions. We had a profitable 1st quarter and I learned a lot about website creation/upkeep, brand identity, and marketing strategy in addition to growing my knowledge of photography and videography. I have since left Swng in order to pursue freelancing full time.
I love what I do and I believe that strong visual journalism has the ability to make a profound impact beyond what words can do.
If you're interested in working with me, please don't hesitate to send me a message through the "Contact" tab in the top-right corner of the website. Thanks.
